On 22 and 29 November 2025, The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) organised a thematic workshop series focusing on AI, Arts, and Intercultural Skills. This event marked the second joint initiative between Kyushu University (Japan) and EdUHK. On November 8, 2024, Prof. Yang Yuqin, a prominent figure in learning sciences from the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence in Education at Central China Normal University, delivered an inspiring and evidence-based presentation on "Analytics-Enhanced Reflective Assessment for Undergraduates' Knowledge Building Competencies."

In her talk, Prof. Yang highlighted the essential role of KB competencies in enabling undergraduates to engage in creative knowledge work and succeed academically. Despite their importance, these skills often lack effective scaffolding in higher education.
