Sun Lab

Led by Dr. Sun Daner, our lab at The Education University of Hong Kong explores the transformative potential of emerging technologies in education. We focus on AI-powered learning systems, technology-enhanced STEM education, and innovative pedagogical approaches that foster higher-order thinking across disciplines. Our work bridges educational research and real-world implementation—from developing ScaffoldiaMyMaths (https://www.scaffoldia.com/zh-hans/) with adaptive AI scaffolding for students with mathematics learning difficulties, to creating iSTEM (http://isteminquiry.com/), a design thinking-driven platform for aerospace-focused STEM education. Through rigorous research and meaningful collaboration with schools and communities, we strive to create equitable, evidence-based educational solutions that prepare learners for an AI-driven future.
